Barquillos MC 22’s

Is one of the top Bacolod famous goodies. Barquillos are thin wafers lightly sprinkled with sesame seeds, rolled into a tubular shape, enhancing its crunchiness. It is perfectly delightful to pair with ice cream or any cold desserts.

Barquillos are thin rolled cookies of Spanish origin. It is made by pouring thin butter onto a wafer iron (barquillera). Once the wafer is cooked to light brown, it is immediately rolled while it’s still hot. It becomes a crisp rolled cookies when it cools.
