1981

Reynaldo Baker-Hat

Reynaldo B. Villan employed as helper in Polets Bakery in Bacolod Downtown.

1982

Reynaldo B. Villan Resigned from his work. He received a separation fee of P1,600.

1983

Reynaldo B. Villan acquired technical learnings from his dedication to understand the baking stuff and met a co-employee who taught the recipe of piaya.

1984

Reynaldo and Ma. Lomer got Married.

At Yulo's Park beside the house of Mercedita Cañedo (Mother of Ma. Lomer), Reynaldo B. Villan and Ma. Lomer Cañedo started cooking piaya using borrowed fry pan "KALAHA" with an P80 savings from separation fee to buy piaya ingredients. They used 7-up Bottle to flatten piaya. They produced one hundred twenty pieces(120) sold at sixty centavos (.65) each.

1985

Ma. Lomer gave birth to their first son (Richmond C. Villan). The couple dedicated their time in piaya business that they started to market the product in Bacolod Airport in Singcang. The father of Ma. Lomer who was a fish vendor engaged himself in selling piaya in Doña Juliana and City Heights subdivisions and another relative got interested in selling piaya in out of town areas.

1986

Also, the couple started to produce barquillos and hired one (1) helper to assist in the production of piaya. Ma. Lomer C. Villan started to market piaya in Banago port and used a Bicycle as a transportation in some locations.

The couple opened a rolling store in Yulo's Park fronting ETCS-II. They acquired second hand jeepney to service delivery of orders.

1988

Ma. Lomer gave birth to their second SON Reynaldo C. Villan Jr.

The demand grew tremendously that Reynaldo C. Villan doubled his efforts in order to cope up with the demands of his customers and later he invested additional finances to hire more helpers in the growing business.

1989

The production was transfered from Yulo's Park to Singcang "famous known as Lechonan" and where they established their first store. The couple acquired a brand new delivery service "power pick-up", Ma. Lomer purchased Biscocho and Toasted Muffin from iloilo to display in their store.

1990

Ma. Lomer gave birth to their first daughter Reyna Myrah C. Villan.

The couple started to produce meringue, cookies & hopia.

1992

They acquired additional service for delivery "surplus jeepney."

Backyard Factory started when the couple transfered its production from Singcang to Greenplains Alijis. Bongbong's started to produce Biscocho, Toasted Muffins, Butterscotch, Cheese tarts, Caramel Tarts & Otap.

2001

BongBong's Backyard Factory was transfered on a bigger area just a few blocks away from the first Backyard Factory. Then they acquired their first Brand New Delivery Van.

2003 - 2005

Bongbong's acquired 2,000 sq. meter production site in alijis and constructed two-storey production building and acquired two (2) bagger cake mixers, ten (10) ovens, dough forming machine, eight (8) flatteners to start Mass Production.

Bongbong's sales territory expansion started.

Bongbong's received its first award - The national Shopper's choice award.

Ma. Lomer gave birth to a twin daughter named Sweet and Sugar.

2006

Bongbong's received its second award - The National Shopper's Choice Award for the secong time.

2007

Bongbong's received its first recognition from government agencied - Regional winner, Healthy Work Place awarded by Department of Health and Bureau of Food and drugs. Bongbong's acquired machineries to maximize productions. Flavored Bite-size barquillos started using a machine.

2008

Bongbong's awarded again as a Regional Winner, Healthy work place awarded by Department of health & Bureau of food & drugs.

2009

Bongbong's acquired its first 6 wheeler delivery van

Bongbong's awarded again as a Regional Winner, Healthy Workplace awarded by Department of health and Bureau of food and drugs.

2010

Bongbong's started to produce Loaf bread, Wheat Bread, Carrot Bread and other fresh breads. Mar Roxas and Korina Sanchez visited Bongbong's Factory.

Bongbong's acquired additional 6-wheeler delivery van.

2011 - 2012

Bongbong's acquired four (4) hectares new production site in La Carlota City

Bongbong's a 10-wheeler delivery van.

Groundbreaking for the new factory in the four-hectare production site in La Carlota.

Another Back-to-Back recognition received by Bongbong's - Most Trusted Pasalubong Center and Pasalubong of the year.

2014

Acquisition of Bongbong's Tour Bus and launching of Bongbong's Sweet Drives.

Bongbong's marked its 30 years in the industry.

Sweet Building in La Carlota Factory Compound opened - new production area for Biscocho and Breads. Received IPO registration from Bureau of Trademarks.

Awarded as Most Outstanding Innovative Pasalubong Chain by National Customers Awards.

Awarded Best Piaya by Golden Globe Awards.

Another icon store opened "Bongbong's Lacson".

2015

Sugar Building in La Carlota Factory Compound opened - new production area for Piaya.

2016

New Main office building and main warehouse constructed near the Alijis Factory.

2017

Bongbong's has reached more than 60 stores after the debut of store openings in 2006. Blessings and inauguration of Bongbong's new Main office building and main warehouse. Groundbreaking of pastry building - the new production area for Bongbong's tarts & siopao. Bongbong's Boracay opened.
